OUR POLICIES:
1. TERMS & CONDITIONS
1.1 Please note that all guests will be required to sign a registration form on arrival and that a preauthorization amount of R200 per night will be taken for any incidental extras. If paid in cash, this amount will be refunded on departure, but if authorized on Credit Card, it will be cancelled on departure and will be visible in your account within 48 hours.
1.2 Check in time is from 14h00 until 21h00; check out time is by 10h00. Early arrivals and departures may be requested but will be subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Additional charges might also apply.
1.3 In order to guarantee a reservation, credit card details, or POP is required.
1.4 Echo Mountain Inn reserves the right to release any bookings that are non-guaranteed.
1.5 A fee equivalent to a day use rate will be levied for check-outs after 11h00 if not approved by the front desk.
1.6 If the numbers of occupants on arrival exceed that stipulated in the quotation, we may provide additional accommodation at the rate of R400 per person per night if we are able to accommodate such extra guests. We however reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the full cancellation fee.
1.7 Guests may not host parties/events on the premises, without Management’s consent.
1.8 Smoking inside the premises or its rooms is strictly prohibited. The courtyard and lapa is the only allocated smoking area.
1.9 No animals are allowed on the premises unless a guest requires a medically trained dog or guide dog.
1.10 All loss and/or damage to property suffered by Echo Mountain Inn will be charged at their replacement cost plus an additional charge to absorb administration costs.
1.11 Any lost access cards/remotes not returned will result keys/remotes being replaced, and the guest will be held accountable for costs.
2. DEPOSIT POLICY
2.1 All individual bookings require 100% payment on day of confirming the booking.
2.2 All Company bookings require 100% payment on day of confirming the booking.
2.3 Please ensure that you use the Invoice Number as a Reference Number when depositing. The hotel reserves the right to automatically cancel any, or all, of the booking(s) without prior notification should no deposit or CC details be received within 48 hours, unless alternative arrangements are made.
3. CANCELLATION POLICY
Please note that all our rates are Non-Refundable. This includes Accommodation Rates, Lunch and Dinner Vouchers. Refundable rates can be requested.
4. NO SHOWS/EARLY DEPARTURES
4.1 Reservations that fail to arrive are subject to a 100% ‘no-show’ fee on the booked value for the entire stay.
4.2 Reservations that leave before their scheduled date of departure are subject to a 100% ‘Cancellation’ fee on the booked value for the entire stay.
5. BANK AUTHORIZATION HOLD
5.1 At Echo Mountain Inn, when you check-in, our friendly front desk team will authorize your credit card for any incidental extras. We will do this by putting a pending charge onto your account of R200 per night and never more than R2000. This is called an authorization hold.
5.2 Echo Mountain Inn releases this hold within hours after your check out, however, banks and credit card companies may take a few business days to release the funds back into your account.
5.3 Please consult your respective bank or your credit card company to ensure they have released this amount.
5.4 Kindly note, Echo Mountain Inn will never charge your card without your prior authorization
6. PANDEMIC (2019-nCoV) (Covid-19) - NO LONGER VALID AS OF 07 OCTOBER 2022
6.1 Should a guest test positive for COVID-19 prior to their stay with us, We will refund 100% of the total amount of the reservation (Proof of result must be supplied)
6.2 Should a guest experience any symptoms prior to their stay with us, We will allow the guest to change their arrival date once, Changes will however be based on real time availability, prices and restrictions. Should the guest be unable to honor his/her rescheduled check-in date, 50% of the reservation will be refunded (Proof of Doctor consultation will be required)
6.3 Should a guest test positive during their stay, We will refund the guest 100% of the total amount of the reservation remaining
